It is crucial that students are valued, heard and have a mechanism like the Student Council which allows them to contribute to the ethos, systems and values of the school.

Coombe Wood School is proud to announce that we now have the first ever Student Council in place.

We were very grateful to have an amazing total of 42 students applying to be part of the Student Council.

From this 42, 16 students have now been appointed and are working on the following areas:

  • Developing school rewards to acknowledge students for all the achievement points they have received for displaying our core values.
  • Charity fund raising for the Mayor of Croydon’s chosen charity – ‘Stand up to cancer.’
  •  Training as Youth Travel Ambassadors to then educate fellow students about safe and responsible travel.
