We are extremely proud of the commitment and enthusiasm shown by the 16 members of our Student Council throughout our opening year.

They have been very active within the school in a number of different areas:

·         Fundraising for the Mayor of Croydon’s chosen charity – ‘Stand up to cancer.’

·         Working as Youth Travel Ambassadors, helping the school to achieve bronze status in the TFL Travel Stars Scheme and producing a thought provoking safe travel video. To view click here

·         Organising school rewards schemes including raffles and also rewards lunches across the road with our friends in Lloyd Park Café.

·         Running Student Voice to allow all members of the CWS community to have their say.

·         Acting as mentors to Year 6 students at their induction day in June.

·         Carrying out gate duty before school with a member of staff to help fellow students ensure their uniform is smart, they turn off and put away all phones and generally to welcome them to school.

Thank you to all Student Council members for your work last year!

Other members of the CWS student body (Year 7 and Year 8) will now be given the opportunity to put themselves forward to become Student Council members for the school year 2019 – 2020. We are delighted to announce that Ms N Choudhury, our new Senior Teacher, will be responsible for overseeing the work of the Student Council and will be publishing details of how students can apply in due course.

We look forward to celebrating their achievements!
