Coombe Wood School

CWS Habits for learning

As we all know, achieving success in life – whether that be academically, professionally, socially, or physically – comes through forming and relentlessly sticking to good habits.

By sticking to these good habits, we ultimately find that some of the most challenging pursuits in life can be achieved.  We find that we can do more than we ever thought possible.

At Coombe Wood School, our HABITS for Learning clearly define the habitual behaviours we want to see in our students in order to unlock their potential.  When practised repeatedly, we are confident that these HABITS will contribute to better progress and outcomes for our students, setting them up for success in their education and in the wider world.

As habitual behaviours are learned over time, we explicitly teach our HABITS for Learning at Coombe Wood School.  We support our students in developing these HABITS through consistency: our common cues, routines and codified behaviours, reinforced by our behaviour policy and reward policy.

Our Coombe Wood School Learning HABITS are designed to create an environment where everybody thrives and can achieve excellent outcomes both academically and personally.
