Coombe Wood Sixth Form students visited the world-famous Lloyd’s of London, stepping into the heart of the City.

For over 70% of those attending, this was their first experience of a corporate environment in the City. The visit also had a strong impact on future plans, with more than 70% of students saying they are now more likely to consider an apprenticeship after Sixth Form.

Students reflected on the calm and professional atmosphere, the pride people take in their workplace, and the unique design of the building as a working marketplace for insurance. They also took part in speed networking with current apprentices, gaining valuable advice.

Overall, the visit was highly valued by students, helping to build confidence and develop the professional awareness needed as they consider their next steps beyond school.
